Tom established the North Alabama C12 Group in Huntsville in December 2001.  The group's diverse membership is male and female CEO's of several ethnic backgrounds, and includes, but is not limited to banking, architecture, aerospace, medical, pharmaceutical, technical engineering services, commercial construction, lumber, city government, and food services.  All are committed to servant leadership of organizations that God owns.  Tom serves on numerous company and Christian support organization boards and is committed to promoting "business as ministry."  He built his own Glasair Sportsman airplane, named "JOSHUA," to use in his business ministry.

During his 1965 to 1988 army career, Tom commanded and served as a primary staff officer in numerous ground, cavalry and aviation units in Vietnam, Korea, Europe and the U.S.  His combat tours were flying both attack helicopter and armed recon fixed wing operations, accumulating over 1200 hours of night combat missions during his nearly 2000 hours flying missions in Vietnam. He also taught at the United States Military Academy at  West Point, and International War College in Paris, France.

From 1988 to 2002, as a senior executive with McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing, Tom was responsible for the sales, marketing, business development, government affairs and strategic planning that resulted in over $12 billion of domestic and international sales of military and commercial products.  His teams also set-up several global companies, partnerships, and joint ventures to fulfill industrial cooperation, off-set, and counter-trade goals.

Tom holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Economics from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a Master's Degree in National Security Affairs and International Relations from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School.  He is married to the former Lynn McBratney and has two adult sons, Kevin and Jeff. Abigail, Ben, Addison America, Isaiah and Luke are their wonderful five grandchildren; heavenly gifts from their sons and daughters-in-love. Kevin teaches severely handicapped autistic young people, and Jeff is an Army major, West Point grad and Apache helicopter pilot, currently serving in the special operations aviation area.
